Fem!Korea

Hello! I recently got back into Hetalia and deviantART after being away from both the fandom and the site for 2-3 years.

I used to upload my drawings of Nyotalia characters, FrancisxYong Soo (France/South Korea), and a Hetalia OC in my old account, but because of personal reasons and because I was having issues with the Hetalia fandom at the time, I decided to leave that account.

But after looking through my old files recently, I decided to give Hetalia another chance. I'm surprised with how popular the series still is! I read some of Himaruya's new works, and I'm very impressed with his improvement! It's so inspiring! (ﾉ)ﾟ∀ﾟ(ヾ) I'm also so glad that he went back to drawing satirical comics. During the twilight of my involvement with the fandom, he would only draw fanservice or AUs. Though I found the AUs cute, I wanted to see more historically-based comics, like the early ones. I felt that the series and its fandom was moving away from what made it so appealing and was turning into another moeblob anime/manga with too much fanservice. :/

I was so happy when I saw his comic commenting on each nation's horror movies. That's exactly what I missed in the fandom! I also like how many of the fans are now focusing on the characters as people rather than nations and theorizing how the anthropomorphisms became what they are. I hope to see more of that now that I'm browsing through the fandom again.

The thing that finally convinced me to return to the fandom is ~Laliet's doujins. They're amazing! I've always loved Nyotalia, and she gives them the love they deserve and does them justice.

Im Yong Soo / South Korea was my favorite character. I prefer South Korea's female design because I think there needs to be more female characters, and fem!Korea is so cute!

My art style's changed a lot in the time I've been gone, and I aim to produce less anime-styled and more cartoony drawings. I'm trying to find my art style and move out from my moeblob, chibi shoujo anime style.

I plan to post my fanarts of my various fandoms in this account, especially Francis/Yong Soo (France/South Korea) drawings. I affectionately call the ship "FroYo," a portmanteau of Francis and Yong Soo I actually based my new username on that pairings nyehehehe
